Adam Joseph Sypien, 92, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away at his home, with his family near.
Adam was born on Sept. 4, 1922 in Jamaica, NY to Joseph Adam and Eva Sypien. He joined the US Army on December 30, 1943 serving until January 15, 1946. He fought in Central Europe and Germany.
Adam married Dolores Busco on September 4, 1948 in Jamaica, NY. They lived in Mineola, NY for 42 years before moving to Fredericksburg. Adam worked for General Bronze for over 25 years, and after retiring from there, worked for Hofstra University before retiring in 1984. They were members of St. Patrick Catholic Church
Survivors include his son; Joseph ( Sharon) Sypien, daughter Patricia (Vincent) Thurston; grandchildren, Adam Thurston, Jennifer and Joanna Sypien, Andrew and Andrea Thurston.
