Anna Faye Sorrell, 72, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away in Aylett, Va, surrounded by her loved ones. Anna was born on August 3, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Willie F. and Flossie Mae (Smith) Harmon. After graduating from high school, Anna joined the US Army, where she trained as a medical specialist. While assigned to Ft. Belvoir, she played on the Womens Basketball Team.
Anna married Earl J. Sorrell, Jr and he preceded her in death. Anna married James E. Sisk on May 18, 2013. She loved to play the piano and guitar and enjoyed old country music.
Survivors include her husband; James E. Sisk, 2 daughters, Terri Clark (Paul), Stormi Clouse (Jason); 3 step-sons; Earl J. Sorrell III, William, Richard (Kimberly); step-daughter, Kathy Smith (Anthony); 3 sisters; Thelma Jackson, Helen Breig, Hazel Davis; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Anna was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Tina Smith, and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
