IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Archilou Adams
Frix
November 10, 1927 – January 26, 2021
Archilou Adams Frix, (Age 93), of Culpeper, VA., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at The Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community in Culpeper, VA. Loving wife of the late Glenn Dale Frix, Sr., Archilou and Glenn met at the University of Alabama where they both graduated in 1949. She majored in Education and taught school until she had her first born. She never returned to the workplace as she was devoted to raising their children and being a full-time mother.
Archilou and Glenn were very active in their church, the Glencoe First United Methodist Church. Their faith in God and in Jesus was a very important aspect of their lives and they did a great job sharing, and imparting, that wisdom to their three sons. They were devoted parents and family people. They enjoyed supporting their community in many ways. She volunteered as a quilter and enjoyed word games and spending time with family and extended family. In 1999 Glenn passed away. Archilou then moved to Bowie, Maryland to be close to her family. In 2003 she moved to "The Culpeper" in Culpeper, VA where she lived ever since.
She is survived by her three loving sons, Jesse Daniel Frix (Carol), Glenn Dale Frix, Jr., and William Myles Frix (Kaye); two grandchildren, David Alexander Frix and Regina Marie Bornarth (Michael); and one great-granddaughter, Natalie Marie Bornarth. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thompson Adams and Elnora (Majors) Thompson; her stepfather, Eason Z. Thompson; and her brother, Miles Daniel Adams.
The sons will arrange services to celebrate her life at a later date
