Aurora N. Arroyo, 70, of Spotsylvania, VA passed away on June 30, 2010 at the United Medical Center of Washington, D.C. She was the daughter of the late Jose Valentin and Maria Reyes Conde. She is also pre-deceased by her brother, Jose Conde. Mrs. Arroyo is survived by her husband Rene Oswald Arroyo of Spotsylvania, VA, two daughters, Iris L. Arroyo of Maryland and Ana Wellington of Spotsylvania. Two sons Oswaldo J. Arroyo and his wife Lisa of Springfield, VA., Douglas Arroyo of Woodbridge, VA and one sister Rosa E. Jimenez of Columbia MD. Four grandchildren Irene Sorto and her husband Jose, Eddy Gueva, Amanda Arroyo, and Adriana Arroyo. Two step-grandchildren Katherine Zamora and Jarol Arroyo. Two great grandchildren Natalie Sorto and Jasmin Guerra.
Mrs. Arroyo was a retired nurse in Maryland and Virginia. She was a God giving person who was always ready to go out of her way to help others in time of need. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Visitation and Rosary Service will be held on Friday evening form 7-9pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be on Saturday July 3, 2010 at 9:00 am in the chapel at Laurel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park. The family suggests that contributions be made to the American Kidney Association.
