Mrs. Betty Polychrones, age 69 of Unionville, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 at her residence.
Born in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Carme Street Hess.
Betty is survived by her husband of 38 years, George Polychrones; son, David Layman and his wife Carol; daughter, Donna Kierstead and her husband Dana, Jr.; two grandchildren, Emily Layman and Jesse M. Owens. A host of extended loving family and friends also survive.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, from 6:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Rapidan, or to the Orange County Rescue Squad.
