Caroline Faye Cocchini Everett, 74, of Spotsylvania passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday March 15, 2015 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Faye was born November 1, 1940 in Detroit, MI and was raised in Scranton, PA. She married George D. Everett on April 27, 1963 and they made their home in Herndon, VA where Faye worked twenty years in the front office at Herndon Elementary. They retired to Spotsylvania in 2003. Faye loved her large family and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to have lunch with friends or attend her grandchildren's games and activities. Her home was always a welcome gathering place for holidays and family dinners. Shopping, antiquing and holiday decorating also topped her list of favorite things. Survivors include her husband George; daughters Jean Marie (Bo) Kloman and Catherine Ann (Monte) Loving; sisters Eleanor (Russell) Eckardt, Linda (Ken) Kromer and Barbara (Joseph) Curmaci; grandchildren Lauren Kloman, Cory Tipton, Caroline Loving, Everett Loving and Catherine Loving as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Faye was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ethel (Dix) Cocchini and a brother Richard H. Cocchini, Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Peace United Methodist Church, Fredericksburg with Pastor Brad Phillips officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association at www.americanheart.org.
