Obituary

Charles D. Bosserman, 93, of Fredericksburg, and formerly of Farmville, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009.
A native of Lexington, he was married to Minerva Fry Bosserman for 61 years. He was an Elder and active member of several Presbyterian churches.
Mr. Bosserman was an Army medic during World War II and worked for the federal government for 28 years as a wage and hour investigator.
His family was his greatest joy. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Gay Evans.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Ellen Burke and her husband, Peter, of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren, Alison B. Fogarty and Melissa B. Bruster, both of Richmond, David Evans of Keysville, Daniel Evans of Reston and Chris Evans of Appomattox; one brother, Paul Bosserman of Sterling; three great-grandchildren, Owen Fogarty and Madison Fogarty of Richmond, and Haleigh Evans of Keysville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alan Hager officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Spotsylvania Presbyterian Church, or a charity of one's choice.
