Charles H. Clark
Charles Henry Clark, age 75, passed away June 28, 2010. He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Thelma Worthington Clark & Charles L. Clark.
He grew up in Michigan and was a graduate of Western Michigan University. He taught public school music in the Michigan schools for many years. He was employed at Fredericksburg Christian Schools for 12 years, and during his retirement years was employed in the Circulation Dept. of the Free Lance Star.
He was a member of Chancellor Baptist Church and a member of his church choir and orchestra, as well as a trombonist with the University of Mary Washington-Community Symphony Orchestra for 25 years. He also performed with the UMW Concert Band. He was a trombonist with the Christian Youth Theatre Orchestra for a number of CYT musicals.
He is survived by his wife Jane Carol Clark who he was married to for almost 54 years. Also surviving is a daughter Lee Ann Williams and her husband Robert L. Williams, Jr. and grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Williams and Ethan Alexander Williams. He is survived by brothers Kenneth of Michigan, John of Florida and a sister Kathleen Kiker of Florida and a brother-in-law, Robert Herman and wife Anne, of Wisconsin and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at Chancellor Baptist Church on Gordon Road on Sunday July 11, 2010 at 3:00 pm. The family is in the care of Laurel Hill Funeral Home in Spotsylvania, VA. On-line condolences can be made at laurelhillfuneralhome.com.
