Cheryl Lynn Gustin (Rexrode), age 70, passed away on April 2, 2025, in Henrico, Virginia. Born on February 11, 1955, in Washington, DC, Cheryl lived a life filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion to her family.

Cheryl was the beloved daughter of the late Leona and Thomas Rexrode and sister to the late Thomas "Tommy" Rexrode. She shared 17 cherished years of marriage with her late husband Kevin Gustin. Together they built a home rooted in warmth and care.

She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Amy L. Banks (Bowen) of Woodbridge, VA and Erica L. Lee (Gustin) of King William, VA; her sons-in-law Jwan Banks and Matt Lee; and her cousin and best friend Debora Douglas and Debora's husband Lynn Douglas. Cheryl's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Devin Bowen, Colt Lee, Jashawn Banks, Dalontay Banks, Da'Mya Banks, Elijah Banks, Dominique Banks, Dakari Banks, and Damari Banks.

Cheryl spent many years working at Kings Park Cleaners before choosing to become a full-time homemaker in 1988—a role she embraced wholeheartedly. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother whose presence brought joy to those around her.

Known for her vibrant spirit and outgoing nature, Cheryl was truly the life of any party. She had a magnetic personality that drew people in and made them feel welcome. Her favorite moments were those spent surrounded by family and friends—especially during weekend getaways filled with laughter and gambling adventures alongside Debora.

A funeral service honoring Cheryl's life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Laurel Hill Funeral Home located at 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, Virginia 22553. Please join the family for the repass directly after the service in the reception room.
