Claudette Mary Leidig, 81, of Spotsylvania, VA passed away at Mary Washington Hospital, Friday evening, Aug. 15, 2014 with her loving family at her bedside.
Claudette was born on December 15, 1932 to Primo C. and Mary (DiBlasi) Morganti, in Baltimore, MD. She married her high school sweetheart, George F. Leidig on July 6, 1952 in Baltimore and joined him through out his career to Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Connecticut, Columbia, SC, and retiring to Fawn Lake, Spotsylvania, Va. Claudette was active in church affairs with the Catholic Church everywhere they lived.
Survivors include: her Husband of over 62 years, George; 1 son George F. Leidig, Jr.; 1 grandson, John F. Leidig; and 1 brother; Christopher Morganti. Claudette was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Charles J. Morganti.
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fredericksburg on Thursday August 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. A reception will be held after the Mass at the Fawn Lake Community Center, hosted by Claudette's friends. Innichment at Arlington National Cemetery will occur at a later date.
