Obituary

Constantinos "Gus" Coutscoudis, 77, of Spotsylvania, passed away Sunday September 18, 2016 after an extended illness. Gus was born in Washington D.D. on May 2, 1939 to Anastasios Demetrios and DeEtte (Johnson) Coutscoudis. He married Sandra Elaine Bateman on July 27, 1968, making their home in Spotsylvania. Gus was a master electrician, serving as chief electrician for Woodward & Lothrop Department Stores. He was also a shop steward with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 400. Gus loved his family, especially his granddaughter, Abbey.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years; Sandra; son George "Gus" Coutscoudis; granddaughter, Abbey: three sisters; Katina Ryder (Albert), Helen Coutscoudis, Ruth Trigg and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Gus was preceded in death by two brother; Demetrios and George, and his parents.
Contributions in Gus' name maybe made to Wilderness Community Church Building Fund or Chancellor Company 5 Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilderness Community Church with Pastor Keith Boyette officiating, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
