Cynthia C. "Cindy" Shepherd, 54 of Spotsylvania, passed away suddenly, Sunday May 19, 2013 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
Cindy was born on Aug. 10, 1958 in Buffalo, NY. She moved with her family at a young age to Follansbee, WV, where she graduated from high school and attended Jefferson Technical Inst. where she got her LPN certification. Cindy married Theodore "Glenn" Shepherd on Nov. 11, 1982 in Steubenville, OH and they moved to the Spotsylvania area in 1984. She retired from Reese Medical Center.
Survivors include; her husband, Glenn, 2 daughters; Judy and her husband Brandon Bernritter; Kimberly and her husband Justin Helman and 7 grandchildren; Nicole, Kaylyn, Noah and Savannah Bernritter, Rebekah, Mackenzie and Alyssa Helman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thur. May 23, 2013 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home with funeral services held at 12 noon Friday, May 24, 2013 with Pastor Bob Brown officiating in the funeral home chapel.
