Daniel E. Hartwick, 73, of Lake of the Woods passed away suddenly on Monday, September 5, at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Hartwick retired from the Central Intelligence Agency. Daniel was a member of the LOW Vets, LOW Civil War Study Group, Rappahannock Civil War Roundtable, Central Intelligence Retires Assn.,and American Legion Post 141. Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and Pop Pop, he is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; son, Daniel Jr; daughters Tammy (Jeff) and Erika (Andrew); sister, Sandra and granddaughter, April. Service will held Saturday, 11a.m. at Lake of the Woods Church with reception following. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Memorial Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016, Spotsylvania.
