Danielle Ann Plant (Pickett), born August 30, 1945, in Manassas, Virginia, passed away on September 18, 2026, in Winchester, Virginia.

Danielle spent most of her life in Lake of the Woods, Virginia, where she built a life centered around family, love, and caring for others. For many years, she operated an in-home day care center, opening her home and her heart to countless children. She devoted years to caring for and nurturing children, creating a warm and loving place where they could grow, learn, and feel at home. The many children whose lives she touched became part of the lasting legacy she leaves behind.

Family was at the heart of Danielle's life. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Plant, who passed away in 2011. She is survived by her children, Sean and his wife, Valerie, of Winchester, Virginia, and Debbie and her husband, Paul, of Charleston, South Carolina; and her stepchildren, Christopher and his wife, Jessica, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Frank of Barcelona, Spain. She was also a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, with whom she treasured spending time and making memories.

Danielle had a special passion for baseball. An avid fan of the Washington Nationals, she followed the team with enthusiasm and enjoyed cheering them on. Her love of the game went beyond being a spectator—she played fantasy baseball for many years, bringing her competitive spirit and knowledge of the sport into the game she loved.

Danielle will be remembered for the love she gave so freely—to her family, to the children she cared for, and to the many people whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service celebrating Danielle's life will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, starting at 11 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home.
