Darrel Preston 73, of King George passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Mary Washington Hospital, with his loved ones by his side.
Darrel was born on July 29, 1942 to Nelson Alonzo and Parolee L. (Craine) Preston in Seattle, WA. He graduated high school and received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Strayer College. Darrel worked for over 30 years in the hospitality industry. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge, Shelton, WA and Lions Clubs in Oregon and Stafford. Living in Stafford, VA, Darrel was Chairman of the Democratic Party, Chairman and Secretary of Stafford County Electoral Board in the 1990's. He retired from Saturn of Fredericksburg after an injury. He moved to King George in 2000.
Survivors include: his fiance, JoAnn Kidd, son: Christopher Ian Preston; Daughter, Laura Beth Preston, three step-daughters; Sharon Shallcross , Bobbi Jo Sexton , Ginger Hall; brother Jack "Mike"Endino; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren
