Darrell Wayne Cook, 27, of Winchester passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012. Darrell was born June 12, 1985, in Richmond, VA to James Nelson Cook, Sr. and Lynne Marie "Spinney" Cook. He loved his family, friends and sports. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was known for his contagious sense of humor and the ability to make everybody laugh. He is survived by his mother, Lynne Marie Cook-Zerbe; and his siblings, Katie Marie Cook, James Nelson Cook, Jr. and Kenneth Ray Cook all formerly of Stafford, VA. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Camilla M. Spinney and Charles E. Davis of Winchester, as well as George A. Spinney, Sr. of Naples, FL. He leaves his paternal grandparents Maphis Cook of Florida and Janice Cook of Locust Grove. In addition to immediate family, Darrell leaves behind his loving partner, Tasha Harman of Winchester, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a nephew, a niece, and an uncountable amount of friends. Darrell was preceded in death by his father, James Nelson Cook, Sr. A funeral will be held at Laurel Hill Funeral Home in Spotsylvania at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.
