Our beloved David Hamilton Henderson, 52, of Fredericksburg passed away suddenly on Saturday September 8, 2018 in Washington, D.C. David was born on June 1, 1966 to Kenneth Hamilton and Janice Marie (Tacy) Henderson in Fredericksburg. He spent most of his youth with his grandmother. He was proud of his Patawomeck native heritage, which he was a member of the Patawomeck Indians of Virginia. David was a veteran of the US Navy, from July 1984 to January 1991, serving as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate, where he was awarded two Sea Ribbons, Battle "E" Award and Navy Achievement Medal. He was a heart transplant recipient in January of 2013 and was a huge volunteer for Donate Life of Virginia. David was also a member of the Imperial Court of Washington, D.C. He leaves to mourn his passing, his partner, Julian Miller, sister, Sandra "Sandi" Mothershead (Ronnie); and many friends. Private graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Memorial Park. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Rowser Building, 1739 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Stafford, VA 22554 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m..
