David Loren Keeve, 67, passed away suddenly Monday, September 23rd, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital.
David is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anna Reiss-Keeve, his son David McKinley Reiss-Keeve of Locust Grove, VA, two daughters, LaShawn and Sonya Keeve as well as two grandchildren, Nakia and Jordan of Maryland.
Born in Northumberland, VA, on February 7, 1946, to Alice Keeve, David was raised by his grandparents James and Valeria Keeve. David graduated from Northumberland High and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Virginia Union University.
An entrepreneur, he owned and operated a trucking company for many years. His last 12 years he worked for Virginia Paving doing what he loved...driving a big truck!
David was known as a jovial and kind man with a keen wit and an infectious sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with family, working on vehicles with his son, watching football, listening to music, shopping, and, as a young man, driving his 18 wheeler truck across the country. He was a loving husband and an awesome father who took pride in his work and his family. His big grin and cheerful attitude will be remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m., with funeral services at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home in Spotsylvania, VA. Burial will follow services at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
