David E Kelley was born on April 14, 1940 in South Carolina. He died in his home in Spotsylvania, Virginia where he lived most of his life on Thursday, March 31, 2022 surrounded by close loved ones.

He worked a lifetime in the construction industry supporting and providing for his family. He loved his family unconditionally. He enjoyed raising animals, building structures in his backyard as well as fishing with his wife. He also enjoyed growing green grass and hunting.

His son Lawrence Brown passed away on April 18, 2010.

Survivors include his wife Bertha Kelley; Barbara Kelley, Patricia Kelley, Lois Kelley, Lisa Kelley and his sister Queen Kelly. He also provided, supported and fulfilled the role of a father for Mabel Rock. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

A gathering will be held after the service at 10426 Catharpin Rd. Spotsylvania VA, 22551
