David Ray Lundell, 71, of Lake of the Woods, died Monday, June 2, 2003 at Culpepper Regional Hospital. David served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and spent his career years with IBM. David's life was filled with the love of animals and the wonders of nature.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Patricia. He is also survived by a son, David Jr., and his wife, Anne, of North Reading, Massachusetts; his daughters, Jewell Kowzan and her husband, Paul, of Marietta, Georgia; Alison Coleman and her husband W. Edward of Hillsborough, North Carolina; his sister Jerell Devlin and her husband, L. Hugh, of Lake of the Woods; his brother W. Thomas of Pebble Beach, California; and grandchildren Christine, Jessie, James, Julie and Tyler.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Lake of the Woods Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orange County Humane Society, Post Office Box 914, Locust Grove, Virginia 22508, and Lake of the Woods Fire and Rescue. There will be a private burial at a later date.
