David H. Shadbar passed peacefully on April 29, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA. He was born on December 17, 1940 in Chicago, IL.

Dave graduated from Lindblom High School. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army. He married his high school sweetheart Dorothy J. (Vehe) Shadbar in 1960 whom he loved with complete admiration and devotion. They celebrated 62 years together before her untimely passing on July 1, 2023. Dave retired in 2010 as Vice-President of Automatic Rolls of Virginia. Dave was a devoted father and grandfather, avid bird watcher and Corvette enthusiast. He was a member of the Aquia Creek Corvette Club and the Battlefield Corvette Club.

His life will be forever cherished in the lives of his children, Jean McNeil of Syracuse, NY and David E. Shadbar (Teri) of Fredericksburg, VA. Dave will also be lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren, Thomas McNeil, Ryan McNeil, and Kara Lyn Shadbar. He is also survived by several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
