David Lionell Watson Sr., 92, of Salisbury, North Carolina passed away on November 8, 2024.

He was born in Los Angeles, California in 1932 to Gerald John Espland and Sara Mae Watson. David joined the United States Navy in 1951.

David was preceded in death by his parents Gearald John Espland Watson, Sara Mae Watson, his wife Julia Watson and son David Watson. David is survived by daughter-in-law Shirley Watson, his children Wanda Ragle( Tom), Sheila Warwell ( Harry), Kathleen Nower (Charlie), Ronald Watson (Gie), Rebecca Hernandez (Luis), Scott Watson (Claire), his grandchildren Mandy Rodgers, Jason Ragle, Melissa Ann Warwell, Christopher Kenneth Warwell, Erich James Warwell, Jacky Jayoma, Phoebe Watson, Michael Fortson, Julia Watson, Willow Isabella Hernandez, Summer Del Val Hernandez, Scott Watson, Paige Watson, 17 greatgrandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania. A burial will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
