On September 8, 2014, Denise Kennedy Bowen of Fredericksburg, VA, while surrounded by the love of her family, died at the age of 49 after a complex battle with a rare neurovascular disease.

Born July 17, 1965, she is preceded in death by her father, Richard Donald Kennedy. She is survived by her mother Joann Kennedy of Calhoun, GA; her husband - Charles Daniel Bowen, daughters - Ashley Danielle Muse, Amelia Rose Horton and Macy Jane Bowen. Grandchildren - Jacob R. DeChambeau, Nathaniel M. Horton and Crystal A. Horton. Sisters Charisse M. Moser and Michelle Kennedy Pharo, brother Terrance A. Kennedy in addition to a very large host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws as well as many dear friends.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13th - 1:00 p.m. at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Spotsylvania, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family earnestly desires donations to raise funds for Denise's husband and youngest daughter's to have a new beginning.
