Dennis "Brother" Seay
It is with great compassion that Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, announces the passing of Dennis "Brother" Seay, 61, of Spotsylvania. He passed at his home with his loving family by his side.
Dennis was born April 19th, 1949, in Fredericksburg, the son of the late Oscar and Annie Seay. He worked for over 42 years as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Moose Lodge #1655.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Seay; two daughters, Kimberly Hoppe and her husband Eddie and Melissa Lauer and her fiance, Ed Smith of Spotsylvania; his son Rob Bartlett of Charlotte, NC, three grandchildren, Ashley, Rieley and Hayley; two sisters , Betty "Nannie" Oakes of Spotsylvania and Doris Dickert of Hampton; one brother, Allen "Puden" Seay of Spotsylvania. "Uncle Brother" was also survived by three nephews, three nieces, four great nephews, six great-nieces and many other friends and relatives.
A celebration of his life will be conducted 2;00 pm Wednesday Sept. 15, 2010 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Fred Marvel. Internment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be; Howard Simmons, Jimmy Simmons, Jimmy Hawkins, Ronnie Baker, John Houck and Kevin Potter
