Doran Richard Davis Sr., 73 of Fredericksburg passed away at Culpeper Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Doran was born on April 12, 1943 to Lyman Douglas and Hester Marie (Barrett) Davis in TN. He married Donna Lee Lawrence on March 24, 1962 in Rockville, MD. They lived in Manassas until moving to Tifton, GA in 1968 where they lived until returning to Manassas in 1985 and to the Fredericksburg area in 2010. Doran retired from the State of Virginia as a Water Inspector. Survivors include; two sons: Doran R. "Rick" (Vicki), James L. (Yvonne); daughter Tamara L. Adkins (Chris); two brothers; Landon and Bobby Dean Davis; two sisters; Patsy Diane Cook, Linda "Tootie" Davis; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, with another on the way. Doran was preceded in death by his wife, Donna in 2015. Graveside Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, April, 7, 2017 at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
