Doris Jean Buhle, age 91, of Fredericksburg, VA passed peacefully on December 2, 2024, into eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Doris was born in Dumfries, VA to John E. Spring and Ethel Lee Spring. Doris graduated from Osborne High School in Manassas, VA with honors. Upon graduation, she began a 30-year career with the CIA.

Doris was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She lived a life full of grace, kindness, and compassion, touching the hearts of everyone she met. She made an impact in the lives of many, always giving of herself with a generous spirit. Doris' nurturing nature extended beyond her family, and her warm heart was a source of comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents John and Ethel Spring, 3 brothers John Spring Jr., Jack Spring and William Spring, her husband William G Buhle, son William J Buhle (Billy), daughter Vicki Hathcock and granddaughter Sharron Brownlow.

Her family was her pride and joy. Doris is survived by her daughters Suzanne Sullivan (Terry Sullivan), Judith Brownlow, Connie Cox (Doug Cox), Patricia Myers (Randy Myers), 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many other dear relatives and friends.

Doris leaves a legacy of kindness, caring and love for her family that she has passed on to several generations. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service to celebrate Doris' life will be held on December 6, 2024 at 11:00am at Laurel Hill Funeral Home Fredericksburg, VA. Graveside service to follow at Stonewall Memorial Garden's Manassas, VA. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman whose legacy of love and kindness will never be forgotten.
