Dorothy Bernice Corbin, 81, of Locust Grove, VA, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Culpeper Regional Hospital, Culpeper, VA.
Mrs. Corbin graduated from Eastern High School in Washington DC in 1943 and was a member of Crusader Lutheran Church in Rockville, MD since 1954. She and her husband co-owned two Washington, D.C. hotel pharmacies, one in the Washington Hilton and the other in the Mayflower Hotel. Since 1967 she also maintained a summer residence in Detroit Lakes, MN.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James (Jim) Lee Corbin, her daughter, Kathryn Ann Imhoff, of Roseville, CA, her two sons Stephen Corbin of Rockville, MD and Brian Lee Corbin of Locust Grove, VA, her sister, Beverly Ann Henderson of Frankfort, IL and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her son James Michael Corbin and her sister, Norma Jean Ruifrok.
A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Laurel Hill Memorial Park. Pastor Sandra Shaw will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Laurel Hill Funeral Home.
A memorial service will also be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Crusader Lutheran Church, 1605 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville MD.
