Dorothy Jean Shadbar passed away on July 1st, 2023. She was born February 12th, 1940 in Chicago, IL and graduated from Lindbloom Highschool. She worked for Onbank in Syracuse, NY for many years, treasurer of the Corvette Club, a part of her neighborhood HOA, a part of a bowling and golf league. She was a master in the kitchen when she was not volunteering at Wilderness Elementary. Dorothy was an avid fan of her granddaughter's sporting events. She was a loving mother and dedicated wife. All whom knew her loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, strength, charm, grace, and undying love. She was the glue to her family and a good friend to many. She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of her family. She is predeceased by her sister Mary Vehe, brother Bill Vehe, mother Lucille Vehe, and father William Vehe. She is survived by her husband David H. Shadbar, daughter Jean McNeil, son David E. Shadbar(Teri), grandsons Thom McNeil and Ryan McNeil, granddaughter Kara Lyn Shadbar, brothers Tom Vehe, Robert Vehe(Tina), and sister Evelyn Buss(Ralph), and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Services for Dorothy Jean Shadbar shall be held at Laurel Hill Funeral Home with a viewing taking place July 7th, 2023 from 6 pm- 8 pm. The funeral will take place July 8th, 2023 at 10 am.
