Dorothy Marie (Heim) Zimmerman, 96 of Locust Grove, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018, with her family by her side.  Dorothy was born on January 6, 1922 to Juliana Bukojan and Charles Heim in North Tonawanda, NY.  She married Ferdinand Casper Zimmerman on Feb. 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1991.  Dorothy worked for several manufacturing companies, and then volunteered for Senior Companions in N. Tonawanda, and the hospital.  She loved to crochet and gave many items to family and friends.  Survivors include: her son Richard "Rick" (Carrie); daughter, Sister Marianne Zimmerman; three grandchildren, Kelly Velasquez (Alfonso), Gregory and Christopher Zimmerman and one new great granddaughter, Jaina, who arrived on the 15 ^th of Aug.  Visitation will be held on Sunday Aug. 19, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with funeral Mass being held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018 at 11 am.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Fredericksburg.
