Douglas M. Posey, 68, of Locust Grove passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Mary Washington Hospital
He was a loving, honest and hardworking man. He had retired after 40 years of service with Potomac Motors in Alexandria. He will be missed by all.
Mr. Posey was married for 27 years to the late Mavis Peanut Posey and is survived by his daughters, Candace Burnett of Gainesville, VA, and Dawn Ross of Deltona, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Michelle Shook of Partlow, Patti Abram of Stafford County and Susan Laudenslager of Spotsylvania County; one stepson, Richard Lamb of Stafford; three brothers, John Posey, Randolph Posey and Kenneth Posey and one sister, Vicky Ann Posey; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home,
