Earl "Buddy" Wilfred Barr, Jr., 72 of Lake of the Woods, passed away at home with his family at his side on Monday, November 30, 2015.
Buddy was born on September 3, 1943 in Washington D.C. to Earl W. and Helen (Poff) Barr. He worked in home improvement sales his whole life, retiring from American Aluminum Products after over 20 years. He married Nancy Phillips on December 12, 1962 in North Carolina, and she survives. They moved to the Lake of the Woods in the mid 90's, where Buddy remained active, with hobbies, such as rebuilding Juke Boxes, and anything else that required a Fix-it man skills. He enjoyed NASCAR.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include his sons Glen "Wes" Barr, Stephen E. (Judy Lynn) Barr, infant son Michael D. Barr (preceded him in death); sister; Janet (Joseph) Juras, and grandchildren: Meghan Lauren and Mason Stephen Barr.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 4, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Wilderness Community Church with services beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Keith Boyette officiating.
