Elizabeth M. Robinson
Elizabeth Myers Hewit "Liz" Robinson of Locust Grove passed away on Nov. 24, 2010, at home.
Mrs. Robinson was born in 1927 in Altoona, Pa., the daughter of the late Herndon and Sarah Good Hewit of Hollidaysburg, Pa. She was a graduate of Sullins College, Bristol, Va., and Penn State University, with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. Mrs. Robinson was the wife of the late Capt. (USN, Ret.) Robert Bruce Robinson II.
Liz was a member of Lake of the Woods Church, the LOW Lions Club, the Ladies Workshop, the Susannah Chandler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huguenot Society of Pennsylvania.
Surviving are her five children, Sarah R. Myers of Daleville, Robert Bruce Robinson III of Kentwood, Mich., Frances Elizabeth Robinson of Charlotte, N.C., George Hewit Robinson of Locust Grove and Mary-Alice Hewit Robinson of Locust Grove. Also surviving are one brother, George Good Hewit of Florida; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Laurel Hill Funeral Home in Spotsylvania County from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27.
A second visitation will be at Plank, Stitt, and Stevens Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, Pa. from 1 to 2 p.m. on Nov. 29. Interment, with graveside service, will follow in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Hollidaysburg.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of the Rapidan, or to the Lake of the Woods Fire and Rescue Squad.
