Elletta Smith, age 88 of North Carolina, formerly of Fredericksburg, died Friday, January 16, 2009 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana she was the daughter of the late Pleas and Elletta Dan Smith.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by four sons, and one brother, William D. "Bill" Smith.
She is survived by two grandsons, Sean Chappelle and his wife Latoya of Fredericksburg; Kevin Chappelle of Kentucky; granddaughter, April Raines and her husband Phillip of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Veronica Chappelle; 10 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family members.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Amos Healy officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00am - 12:00pm, prior to the service.
