Eva Mae Brummett, age 81, passed away on Thursday, March 25th, 2021 at her family home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Irene Hogan, son-in-law, Duane Slayton and her siblings, Frances Powers, Doris Todd and Jimmy Hogan.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was Moma Eva to many extended family and friends. She was the go-to for everyone that needed support or advice. Moma Eva loved and supported many, she was the glue held us all together. She retired from the Restaurant Business. She loved fishing and the Horse Races. Back in the day she enjoyed going hunting with her husband. She was always there and would take extra steps to help anyone.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Claude Brummett; her children, Claude Edward Brummett, Julie Ann Slayton and Rhonda Jean Bowers (Billy); her siblings, Frank Hogan (Jeannie) and Mary Guillem; her grandchildren, Angela Lynn Paz (Julius), Rodger Lee Brummett, Tara Brummett, Amanda Claudia Brummett, Chase Wayne Brummett (Deondra) and Christopher Wade-Turner Brummett (Sagan); her great-grandchildren, Damian Colegrove, Demetrius Colegrove, Alicia Yolibeth-Lynn Hildebrand (Aaron), Kaylee Marie Huff, Jane Demetriou, Nick Demetriou, Ryan Brummett, Kensly Brummett, Mason Brummett and Journee Cook; and her two great-great-grandsons, Brody and Colson.

A funeral service will be held at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, VA on Thursday, April 15, at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
