It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Everett Lee Stallard. "Lee", as he was known by his family and friends, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of November 1st, 2024 with his loving wife of sixty six years at his side. Lee was born in Wise County Virginia on April 4th, 1937 and was the eldest son of Marvin and Laura Stallard. After graduating from Pound High School, Lee went to Washington, DC. to begin a rewarding career in law enforcement with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.). Shortly after beginning his position at the F.B.I., he met and married the love of his life, Kay Francis Peters. After getting married, Lee and his new bride settled in the Alexandria, Virginia area and soon started a family. The first born child, Gregory Lee Stallard was born in 1959, and a second son, Brian Russell Stallard was born in 1970. In 1972, the family moved to Stafford, Virginia, where they resided until Lee's retirement from the F.B.I.. Lee and Kay then moved to Heathsville, Virginia to enjoy their golden years together in their dream home with the backdrop of the Chesapeake Bay. Lee was an avid outdoorsman and spent all of his life hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Laura Stallard, his brother Russell D. Stallard, and two of his sisters, Mary Jewel Greene and Shirley Wood. Those who survive to carry on his memory are his wife, Kay Stallard, his two sons, Gregory L. Stallard (wife Maria) and Brian R. Stallard (wife Jeanie), his seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, and one surviving sister, Martha Mahieu (husband Harry). Lee's passing leaves a void in us all, but we can take comfort from having had the pleasure and privilege of him in our lives. May God bless his soul, we are grateful that our lives were blessed by his presence.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks to make a charitable donation to St. Judes children Hospital.
