Floyd L. Woods, 91, formerly of Locust Grove passed away Friday June 9, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Prescott, AZ. Floyd was born on July 29, 1925 in Poteau, OK to Hoyt L. and Mildred "Millie" (Moody) Woods. He joined the US Navy in November 1943 serving in the Pacific until April 1946. Floyd worked in construction his whole life, living in many areas before moving to the Locust Grove, VA area. Survivors include three daughters: Sonja Lynn Woods, Linda Corralejo, Pamela McGar; step-children, Frederick Martin (Tammy), Jean Wingate (Barry); brother, Ernest Woods; sister, Pauline Myers; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Gloria in 2014. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
