Frances Helsing King, 76, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday June 1, 2006 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mrs. King was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma prior to moving to Virginia.
Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Clay and Maurine Walker and the wife of the late Beverly "Peter" Helsing and also the late Robert E. King and is survived by her daughter, Wendy L. White of Ruther Glen, her son Greg Helsing of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and her stepson Thomas King Of Hillsboro, NC, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her brothers Robert Walker of Richardson, TX and Herb Walker of Dalphine, Ala. and a sister Jane Carpenter of Jacksonville, Fla. also survive her.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm her daughter's home, Wendy White, at 20 Lake Caroline Dr., Ruther Glen. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday June 10, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, is handling arrangements.
