Francis "Frank" J. Carr, age 82 of Locust Grove, Virginia, died Saturday, March 29, 2008.
Born in Wakefield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Paul and Maria Pfieffer Carr. Mr. Carr was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in WWII. He was a long time resident of Hicksville, NY, and had been a Customer Service Representative for Verizon.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carr was preceded in death in 2003 by his wife, Theresa Ann Carr.
He is survived by two sons, John Carr of Manassas, VA, and Gregory Carr and his wife Ann of New Fairfield, CT; two grandchildren, Tricia Carr and Jennifer Carr; two sisters, Miriam Russo and Pauline Bolk; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 10:00am Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Taylor serving as the celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:00pm at Quantico National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 2:00 - 6:00pm, and on Monday, April 7, 2008 from 1:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania, Virginia 22553.
