Frank Joseph Facinoli, Sr. of Lake of the Woods, VA passed away, Saturday March 3, 2007 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.
Mr. Facinoli was a retired public school principal in Oxon Hill, MD. He was a US Army/Air Corps WWII veteran assigned to General George Patton's 3rd Army hdq staff as a pilot flying L5's for the 14th Liaison Squadron. He was a graduate of the West Virginia Institute of Technology and a member of the Beta Kappa Chi fraternity, and the varsity baseball team. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Ennis Facinoli, and their children and families, Frank Joseph Facinoli, Jr. and son Tyler of Baltimore, MD; David Allen Facinoli and wife Marilyn and children Michael and Kathleen, of Burke, VA; Thomas Lynn Facinoli and wife LaGina, and children Travis, Theo, and Jackie, also of Baltimore; Sandra Lee Facinoli and husband Bob Graham, of Frederick, MD; and Deborah Ann Bergstrom and husband Rich, and children Alex and Erik of Toms River, NJ; his two sisters, Mary Lou Stahl of Clarksburg, WV and Betty Tabor of Lake of the Woods. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Adele Facinoli.
A mass of resurrection will be celebrated 11 am Friday, March 9, 2007 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Fredericksburg, VA. Burial will be in the spring at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Charleston, WV.
