Fred Newsom, (Age 85), of Spotsylvania, Virginia, formerly of Pike County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. He is the son of the late Noah and Gertrude (Tacket) Newsom. He is survived by his devoted children, Teresa (Ed) Newsome and Randy (Terri) Newsom; cherished grandfather of Tayna, Brandy, Billy (Amber), Tyler, Craig and Alyson; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Charles and Bobbi Newsome and his loving extended family members in Kentucky.

Fred enjoyed spending time with his family, sitting on his porch watching the cars go by and watching FOX News. He especially loved TRUMP!

Relatives and friends are invited to Fred's visitation at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, VA on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 11 AM until 12 PM. Army Honors are scheduled in the funeral home at 12 PM.
