George Henry Kelly, age 59 of Lake of the Woods, Locust Grove, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Bill and Bertha Baker Kelly.
Mr. Kelly had been a building contractor in the Fredericksburg area for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Kelly was a wonderful friend, and a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Allison Vaughn Kelly.
He is survived by his son, Sean Kelly of Fredericksburg; daughter, Jennifer Huerta of Tucson, AZ; step-son, Travis Marshall and his wife Hope; three grandchildren, Zan Huerta and Alaura and Dennis Marshall.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 Thursday, August 28, 2008 in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. David Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 at the funeral home.
