George Edward Rossi Jr. (Sonny) 85 passed peacefully with his family by his side on March 7, 2025 in Virginia. He was born Oct. 30, 1939 in Keokuk Iowa, the son of George Edward Rossi Sr. and Emma Sapp. He married Janet Billings. Later married Maggie Hess. Maggie preceded him in death on Aug. 5, 2020.
The loving father of five children; Edward E. Rossi (Ann), William B. Rossi, Dennis L. Rossi (Cathy), Debby Beaver Smith (David), Larry D. Rossi. 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Siblings include: Emma Jean Allaby, Georgia Meyers, Thomas Rossi (Carol) and half sister Patty Mae Mandler (Jay). He loved spending time with his family, fishing, swimming, boating and camping. George also enjoyed dancing and was an avid fan of ballroom dance. He was a devout Christian and will be missed Greatly.
