Obituary for George W. Washburn
George W. Washburn, 84, of Fredericksburg, Va., passed away Monday July 26, 2004.
Mr. Washburn was a retired U.S. Army Major and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was also formerly a resident of Lompoc, California.
He is survived by his son; Donald Washburn and his wife Helen, of California, two daughters; Ellyn Solper and her husband Bruce, of Arizona and Vicki Adair and her husband Gale, of Fredericksburg Va., 8 grandchildren; Laura Henry, Christopher Solper, Christopher and Jeremy Ridgeway, LeAnne Worley, Traci Fentress, Becky Griffits and Doni Washburn, also, 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, Va. at 2:00 p.m., Thursday July 29, 2004. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday July 28, 2004 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, Va.
