Gil-Cha Giefer, 63, of Spotsylvania passed away Aug, 2, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care Center in Fredericksburg, VA
Mrs. Giefer was a native of South Korea, having attended elementary school in Pusan, South Korea and high school in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to her retirement Gil-Cha worked for the Best Western Motel in Fredericksburg. She came to the United States after she married her husband, John Giefer, whom she met while the was serving in the US Army in South Korea.
She is the daughter of the late Sunhwa Park and Yi-chunko Park. She is survived by her husband of 37 year, John Louis Geifer, her daughter, Hyunjoo (Judy) Canul and son-in-law Felix Canul and a grand daughter, Selena Canul.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday Aug. 4, 2006 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, VA. A funeral mass will be conducted at St. Mary Catholic Church, Fredericksburg, VA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday Aug. 5, 2006, Rev. Ronald Escalante will officiate.
