Gloria Jean Woods, 73 of Locust Grove, passed away Sunday Jan. 19, 2014 at Golden Living Ctr. Fredericksburg.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1940 in Woodstock, NH to Gilbert A. and Goldie (Maxwell) Downing. Gloria married Floyd L Woods on Aug. 20, 1977 in Reno, NV. They traveled to various cities, as Floyds work dictated, until moving to the Locust Grove area in 1983, coming from Chicago, IL. Through the years, Gloria worked in factories, and then in the Dietary department of Culpeper Hospital, until retiring.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Floyd of the home, 1 son; Frederick Martin (Tammy) of Fla.; 1 daughter; Jean Wingate (Barry), 3 step-daughters; Sonja Woods, Spotsylvania, Linda Corralejo, and Pamela McGar, both of Modesto, CA; 3 sisters; Glenna Kilton (Ted), NH, Reggenna Fuller (Lloyd), CN, Melody Joyce, NH; 15 grandchildren and numerous Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by 1 son, Edward Martin and 1 brother, Robert Downing.
