Gracie "GiGi" Lee Beasley, 90, of Locust Grove, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Carriage Hill Health Center.  Gracie was born on April 28, 1928 to Raymond and Fannie (Givens) Carpenter.  She married Lt. Col. Myron Elton Beasley on January 25, 1971, and he preceded her in death.  Gracie had obtained her B.A. and Master Degrees in education from Virginia State University and taught in the Washington D.C. School system until retirement.  She and Myron moved to the Fredericksburg area in 2005 where she was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.  Survivors include her son, Stephen Beasley (Julie); twin sister, Pearl Carpenter; step-son, Michael Beasley; step-daughter, Cheryl Cox.  Interment services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.  Online condolences may be made at laurelhillfuneralhome.com.
