Obituary
Haywood Martin Gibson, 96, of Spotsylvania passed away on Friday night, with his loving family at his side.
Haywood was born on February 7, 1921 to Ringo and Mary (Williams) Gibson in Washington, D.C. He worked for many years in San Francisco County as a Licensed Psychology Technician. Haywood married Helen Mary Hafner on June 8, 1974 and she survives. He and Helen moved to Spotsylvania in 1979.
Survivors also include his son, Daniel; Daughter, Chyrelle Gibson; Step-daughter Lisa Austin and sister-in-law, Susan Muller. Haywood was preceded in death by a son, David; brother, Ernest and sister Arlene Broaddus. Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Mary request donations to Fredericksburg SPCA at fburgspca.org/ or Spotsylvania Animal Shelter at 450 Tv Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
