Helen Rae Bennett, 77, of Fredericksburg VA passed away at Mary Washington Hospital on February 21, 2011.
Born in South Fork, Pa., August 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Pete and Katherine Yatsky.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by two sons, Stephen Bennett and his wife, Lynn, of Sacramento, CA and Brian Bennett and his wife Annette of Fredericksburg; one brother, John Deliney of Florida; one grandson, Caleb Bennett.
Mrs. Bennett worked for the U.S. government and retired as a civilian from the Dept. of the Army. She had been a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church of Alexandria, VA and St. Patrick Catholic Church of Spotsylvania, VA. She was a very independent person who loved her flowers and enjoyed gardening.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25th, 2011 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home at 2:00 pm, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park. On-line condolences may be made at www.laurelhillfuneralhome.com.
