Henry "Hank" Megee, 74, of Manassas, VA, peacefully passed away on
November 15, 2022, after a difficult battle with Parkinson's disease. Hank was
born on June 20, 1948 to George & Lake Helen Megee in the bustling city of
Washington DC. Hank had two children, Jennifer Megee & Jessica
Hewlett.  Hank was preceded in death by his father George, mother Lake Helen,
and Grandson Richard. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer and Jessica, four
grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Hank always had a passion for sports, in his early years Hank was a champion
cyclist and raced into his mid 30's. Hank even had the opportunity to try out for
the Olympics, unfortunately a major injury ended those dreams. Hank only
parked his bike to make more time to raise his youngest daughter Jessica full
time. Even then he rode frequently and occasionally raced in local events from
time to time.

Hank retired in 2012 after 30 plus years as a truck driver. Hank was passionate
about archery and loved helping new archers perfect their aim. One of Hank's
proudest moments in archery was when he flew to South Africa for the 2000
World Archery Championships. Not only did Hank win the title of World
Champion, but he also made a myriad of new friends along the way. Hank never
struggled to make friends wherever he went, many of these friends were
lifelong friends even starting at the age of 5 years old.

Services will be held at Laurel Hill Funeral Home 10127 Plank Road,
Spotsylvania, VA 22553 on December 4, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Hank's Family will
start receiving guests at 2:00 PM and ask that you consider wearing Hank's
favorite color, purple to honor his memory.
