Obituary

Herman Andrew "Stoney" Martin, Jr., age 60 of Spotsylvania, died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Herman A. Martin, Sr. and Maggie McNabb Martin.
Mr. Martin was a truck driver, and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and country music fan that enjoyed playing the guitar with his brothers. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his twin brother, Roger Lee Martin, and a sister, Barbara Jean Carroll.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rebecca Martin; three daughters, Tina Arms and her husband Keith of Catlett, VA, Patricia Jean "PJ" Martin, and her fianc Paul Crist, of Spotsylvania, and Bridget Martin of Spotsylvania; three grandchildren, Christian George Pullen, Rylee Ann Arms, and Jordan Andrew Martin; his grandmother, Ruth Hatter of Amherst County; one brother, Joyce "Jackie" Martin and his wife Cheryl of Spotsylvania; three sisters, Betty Jo White and her husband William of Carroll County, Brenda Gail Campbell Miller and her husband Frank of Caroline County, and Debra Kernaghan and her husband Steve of Hubert, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in the chapel of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin and his family are in the care of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania.
